I Made It??

Ok, so today was one of those icky Mondays...well not for me!


A couple of weeks ago our History teacher assigned an assignment. We had to write an essay on Patriotism. Patriotism website-check it out here. It had to be between 300 and 400 words. It couldn't be more or less or else you would get kicked off the competition. Only 5 people from our house or 10 people from our school were chosen to go. 


This morning I was in math class and I was talking to a friend. We were talking about how we probably would never ever get chosen to go to the next round in the competition. So the girl I was talking to had History next. I was walking by her classroom to get a drink of water. She came out right as I came by the door and said "Ali! You made it!!" 


I was so excited to hear that I was one of the 10 from our school to make it to the next level. Now the teachers send it off to a lady who picks one person from each school to move on again. If you get far enough into the competition you could start getting money for your savings bond...let's just see if I get that far. :)
