loving this.

It's October 8th already. Can you believe it? Yesterday I looked out the window and I could tell something was different. Maybe it was because all the leaves were falling off the trees, and the ground was filled with yellows, reds, and oranges. Fall is such a pretty season. I am so loving this.
Oh, and it's cold outside (finally), so you can drink warm, yummy, hot chocolate. That's one of my favorite things about cold weather. :)
Fall: Fall is yellow, orange, and red. It is bare trees, and lots of leaves all over. Fall is a chill in the air, wearing warm fuzzy boots. Fall is sipping hot cocoa while snuggled in blanket. Fall is going to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch, searching for just the right pumpkin. Fall is carving pumpkins into funny faces (or scary faces), and then putting a candle inside to make a jack-o-lantern. Fall is jackets, and scarves. Fall is volleyball season. Fall is beautiful.
And there is my brother using a stick and pretending it's a toy gun. He's so weird. :)
And a sneak peek for a photo shoot Haven and I did! Stay tuned!

What's your favorite thing about fall?

Duluth [part three]

No, we actually did not get the mini donuts, because it was closed. But I love the little boat. So cute. :)
For the rest of the day we went to Canal Park, and we visited the college my mom and dad went to. It was lots of fun! Oh, and our way back to the campsite we stopped at a really yummy restaurant called Betty's Pies. Best. Place. Ever. :)
Kind of a different edit, not sure if I like it or not..hmm.
There were all these really big ships coming in. There was like three or four of them! We went at the right time! :)
It was beautiful out. :)
Goodbye Duluth. See you next year. :)

Do any of you go on annual trips? Tell me about it! :)

Duluth [part two]

Happy Tuesday! I'm so happy to be posting on a week day! Well, now I am posting about part two of my trip..:) After we hiked for a while we went to a place called Palicade Head. (or something along the lines of that...). It was so cool! It was a huge cliff, and below was Lake Superior!
This picture was taken at risk. Just so you all know. My dad stuck my camera off this huge cliff, and took this picture. In the background I was totally freaking out, telling my dad if he dropped it,  he's getting me a new one right away! haha :)

After we ate some lunch, we drove to Split Rock Lighthouse. If you don't know what that is, well it's a famous lighthouse, that everyone in Minnesota should know about. ;) Just kidding! Anyways, we went there and just took pictures from a distance. We didn't actually go in it this time, thought we might try something a little different!
These little berry things were so cool! I saw them everywhere! They were on trees, bushes, plants, etc.
The rocks by the water were just so cool! There were tons and tons of them, and each of them were smooth, and round, and just cool. :)
This is called "Ellingson Island" (i think..). Anyways, super cool island, and we walked around the whole thing. :)
There's Split Rock! It wasn't sunny that day, as you can probably tell from my pictures. It was really nice though. Perfect weather for hiking all day. :)
Woah. That's kind of a funky picture. :)

Which picture is your favorite?

P.S. Stay tuned for part 3!

Duluth [part one]

Guess what? It's been a week since I got back from Duluth, and I still haven't posted the pictures yet! Well here's part one of our trip...
The nature there is so pretty, and I just couldn't help myself not to take pictures of the pretty leaves, and the very few flowers left.
My wonderful family.
This bridge was really scary. There was a sign that said only five people on at a time. What is that supposed to mean? And it rocked back and forth and made funny noises. Eeek! :P
We camped at a state park, and there were so many hiking trails, and things to see! So on Saturday morning we hiked to see some really pretty waterfalls! :)
These waterfalls were so pretty!

So there is part one! Stay tuned for parts 2 & 3!

How was your weekend?

a sneak peek!

So..remember how I told you I went to Duluth this past weekend? Well I took lots of pictures, and I mean lots. So it might take me some time to edit them. (And as you all know I don't have very much time..*ahem*). So I will be posting them as soon as possible. So here is a quick sneak peek!

garden

Let the songs I sing bring joy to you, let the words I say confess my love.

I want everything I do to bring joy to You, Jesus.

You're the reason I'm here. You love me unconditionally. I pray that you will help me do everything in honor of You.

Just recently my uncle came to Christ. He loves this band called NeedtoBreathe. I've come to really like this band too. Especially the song, Garden.

Listen to it. It's powerful. :)

Thank you Jesus, for everything. Help me to be one of a kind, and different than everyone else.

I'm living this life to glorify you only.

Have a wonderful week. :)

thoughts

I'm sitting here, smiling, thinking. I hear the laughter and screams of my crazy brothers and my two little cousins. Right now? Life is good.

We just came back from my brother's baseball game, he pitched in inning three. He did fantastic. It's so fun to be able to see my brothers succeed in what they do. It brings a smile to my face.

Sitting in the van, turning up the heat, eating salami and cheese sandwiches, extra cheesy goldfish, granola bars, and a soda. Watching a movie, and watching my little cousin laugh his head off at my silly faces, it's so much fun.

Waking up to my mom turning on my light, I curled my hair just a little bit, put it in a side pony tail, put on a red beaded necklace, and a black and white striped shirt. I was ready for church. One thing I love about my church is that my aunts and uncles go there, and my cousins. My grandma also goes to our church. Whenever I go, I get to see everybody. It's lots of fun. :)

School? Craziness. I come home every day with loads and loads of homework, and I need to practice my instruments. I now play two instruments. The flute, and the tenor saxophone. Yesterday I practiced my saxophone for two hours straight. Band is one of my favorite things to do. In case you didn't already know that. :)

Well, I better get back to my homework. It is Sunday, tomorrow is Monday. Oh, and in case you didn't know the next day is Tuesday, then Wednesday. Wow. I need to get off this computer. But first, I need to ask..how's life for you?

Have a great week friends!

xoxo

photo contest finalists

Wow. Feels good to be back. Even though I was only gone for five days..it feels like forever. Can I just tell you that if you are in eighth grade in a public school you have no life, you have hardly any free time. It really stinks because I love to blog, and I love to photograph. But school takes away both of those. I'm sorry for my absence, but I plan to get back into blogging at least every other day.

I'm pretty ecstatic with the amount of entries I got in my 'anything' photo contest. 19 entries! That's awesome! Thank you all for entering! Also, I put up a poll to see what all of you're favorite classes are in school..apparently you guys like english! :] So on with the photo finalists! :]

Probably my favorite this week. Love the lighting the focus, the horse and people in the background. It's just a wonderful picture. :)

 by Lauren.
I just love the simplicity of this photo. I love the green in the background, the colors, and it doesn't look too over edited, or even edited at all. Great job Lauren!

I love this picture because of the lighting, the colors, and it's something different. Great job Mary Ann!

I love this picture because of where she took this photo, and how the sun is shining through the trees! Great job Allison! :)

I love his because of how soft, and simple this photo looks. Great job Lily!

Now go on over to the side bar and vote for your favorite! The winner will get one week of advertising on my sidebar! :) Good luck!
